CH10- Pyrite. Huanzala Mine, Huanzala, Huallanca District, Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru
The Pyrites from Huanzalá are well known to mineral collectors worldwide. They stand out for their brilliance and richness of crystallographic forms. In this piece we suggest, the Pyrite crystal shows very well defined faces and edges and with excellent goldtone and top luster. It is formed by nice cubic crystals in an aerial position with very fine growth striations. It is extraordinarily lustrous and settled on matrix of small Calcite crystals. In excellent condition as seen. Very good aesthetic.
